Everything about how the widget looks lives in Settings, then Widget. Changes save as you make them and reach visitors on their next page load. Each website in your workspace keeps its own appearance, so two properties can carry different branding from one workspace.

Colours

Every colour is optional. Leave one unset and it follows the theme, which means a workspace that only sets an accent still gets a coherent widget. Each row has a Reset button that clears the colour and returns it to following the theme.
Check the contrast between a bubble and its text. The preview updates as you pick, so a colour that leaves text unreadable is obvious immediately.

Corners

One choice applies to the whole widget, so the panel, message bubbles, composer and launcher stay in proportion with each other.

Theme

Light is the default. Dark recolours anything you left on default, so your explicit colours survive the switch. Follow the visitor uses the visitor’s own system preference. A colour you set explicitly is used in both themes. If you set a dark header background and then choose the light theme, the header stays dark.

Launcher icon

Upload your own mark for the closed launcher bubble. SVG, PNG and JPEG are accepted, up to 10 MB. The mark is served from Writine with a strict policy that blocks scripts, so an SVG cannot carry active content onto your page. Without one, the widget shows the Writine mark.

Preview

The preview on the page is a faithful copy of the widget, not a live conversation. It reflects every colour and corner choice as you make it, so you can settle the look without loading your site.
