# Plans and pricing

> What each plan includes and how billing works.

Writine has three plans. Every plan includes five members.

  <Card title="Pro" icon="rocket">
    Unlimited chats and extra seats, from USD 15 per month billed yearly.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Business" icon="briefcase">

| Extra members | Not available | Charged per member | Charged per member |

| Billed yearly | Free | USD 15 per month | USD 40 per month |

Prices are per workspace and exclude tax.

## The daily chat limit

On Free, the limit counts conversations started since midnight UTC. It does not
count messages, so a long conversation costs the same as a short one.

Reaching the limit stops new conversations for the rest of the day. It does not
touch conversations already open, so nobody is cut off mid sentence.

## Changing plan

Open **Settings**, then **Billing**, choose monthly or yearly, and pick a plan.
Checkout happens on the payment provider's own page, so no card details reach
Writine.

Your plan changes when the payment provider confirms the charge, not when you
open the checkout page. Closing that page without paying leaves everything as
it was.

## Cancelling

**Cancel subscription** under **Settings**, **Billing** schedules the end of
your subscription for the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep
paid features until then, and the page shows the date.

Change your mind before that date and **Keep subscription** clears the
cancellation.

When a subscription ends, the workspace moves to the Free limits. Nothing is
deleted. If you have more than five members at that point, existing members
stay and you cannot add more until you are back under the limit.

## A failed payment

A failed charge does not cut you off. The workspace keeps its plan while the
payment provider retries, and **Settings**, **Billing** shows a notice asking
you to update your payment details.

## Payment details and receipts

**Open billing portal** under **Settings**, **Billing** takes you to the
payment provider, where you can change the card, the billing address and your
tax details.
