# Billing

> Plans, seats, invoices and payment details.

Billing lives in **Settings**, then **Billing**. The owner can change the plan
and cancel. Owners and admins can read the invoice history and open the billing
portal.

## What decides your access

Your plan on file decides what the workspace can do. That record moves only
when the payment provider confirms a charge, which means opening a checkout
page and abandoning it changes nothing, and a provider outage never silently
upgrades or downgrades anyone.

## Invoices

Every charge appears under **Invoice history** with its date, amount, status
and the plan it paid for.

Download a PDF from the same row. The file is served by Writine through an
authenticated link scoped to your workspace, so it is not a public URL and
cannot be read by anyone outside your team.
